The staff were amazing, providing a complimentary room upgrade and bottle of champagne for our anniversary. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a cozy fireplace. The breakfast options, including enjoying it in the room, ballroom, or courtyard, were great for our family with kids.

The hotel had a great location, close to the heart of the city and within easy reach of all the major attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay special. We loved the complimentary amenities such as the afternoon iced tea and fresh lemonade, as well as the evening selection of brandy, sherry, and port. The extra touches made us feel truly taken care of.

There were a few downsides to our stay. The room in the carriage house was a bit small and cramped, lacking in space to store our belongings.

As bike riders, we loved the convenient location and proximity to amazing restaurants. The breakfast service was top-notch, and the lounge with sherry and snacks was a delightful touch. The historical charm and comfortable amenities made us feel like we had stepped back in time. Great Anniversary Trip

We had a wonderful anniversary trip at the John Rutledge House Inn. The location was perfect, situated between the charming South of Broad neighborhood and lively King Street. We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to the spacious George Washington Suite in the carriage house. The room was beautifully appointed and had all the comforts we needed. The breakfast options were exceptional, with a wide variety to choose from, far surpassing any other B&B we've stayed at. The staff was warm and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely return to this lovely inn. highly recommended.

The location of this inn is fantastic, right in the heart of historic Charleston. It's in a great part of town, close to everything you want to see and do. The rooms are beautiful and the house itself is lovely. You can even enjoy water in the back courtyard while sitting outside.
