I had an amazing solo trip to a beautiful location on the Big Island. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, making me feel safe and secure as a solo female traveler. The location was perfect, as it was very close to the park, allowing me to easily explore Volcanoes National Park. The owner, who is a park ranger, provided helpful recommendations and made me feel welcome. The breakfast provided a wide variety of choices, and I appreciated the attention to detail, including to-go coffee cups and snacks for the road. it was a fantastic value and a memorable stay.

Loved the free WiFi and garden views. The continental breakfast was a savior, enough to feed me all day. And the best part? Snorkeling and cycling nearby. So glad no street lights to find the place at night, what a fun adventure!

The location of this hotel is excellent for exploring the nearby Volcanoes National Park as well as being a short drive from restaurants in town. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are large and comfortable. Guests also appreciate the knowledgeable and helpful hostess who provides great recommendations for places to eat. the breakfast spread is generous and diverse, with a wide variety of options including pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, granola, fruit.

We had an amazing time at this budget-friendly accommodation. The location was perfect, just a few minutes away from the main park entrance and the charming Volcano Village. The room was clean and beautiful, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were exceptional, providing us with valuable tips and a generous continental breakfast every morning. It was a peaceful and relaxing experience, and the proximity to the national park made it even more convenient.

There was limited space in the smaller apartment, without a recliner or couch, and no laundry facilities.

We had the most wonderful stay at Kilauea House! The hosts, Pam and Dean, were welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect, just a short distance from the national park. The bed and linens were of high quality, ensuring a comfortable sleep. We loved the breakfast options provided in the room, as well as the well-equipped kitchenette for enjoying take-out or a glass of wine by the private fire pit. It was a bonus to have a knowledgeable park ranger like Dean as our host. This was by far the nicest stay we had on our trip to the Big Island. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
