My purpose here was attending a family graduation, and my stay lasted three nights. the historic charm of the property added a unique touch to the experience. the room's period decorations and furniture were authentic and lovely. the breakfast was mouthwatering, especially the French toast. the pleasant, quiet atmosphere in the quaint town was delightful. Conveniently close to Charlottesville, it provided easy access for further exploration.

Everything was fantastic.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in a charming rural setting. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-prepared, with a nice bathroom and modern amenities. I loved the historical touches and the cozy couch in the room. The staff was attentive and welcoming, and the complimentary hot breakfast was both generous and delicious. Additionally, the location was perfect for exploring the nearby antique shops and local attractions, as well as venturing out to the beautiful Shenandoah area.

One minor niggle that could be improved upon was the soundproofing.

During our Christmas vacation, we stayed at a historical property with comfortable suites. the location was perfect as it was close to the Skyline Drive and Charlottesville, allowing us to explore the area easily. the highlight of our stay was the dining experience at the hotel restaurant. the food and service were excellent, and the hands-on approach by the owners made it a warm and memorable experience.

The property had a significant issue with feral cats, and the smell and unsanitary conditions made it difficult for anyone with allergies. the owners were not very generous with supplying basic toiletries in the room, and we had to ask for ice as there was no ice machine available.

Historical property near Blue Ridge Mountains. Comfortable rooms with period decorations. Delicious breakfast and great surprise in greeting. Perfect location for exploring Skyline Drive and Charlottesville. Charming atmosphere in quaint town.
