The breakfast spread was delicious with options like yogurt, muffins, and English muffins for toasting. The highlight was the sprawling field attached to the property, perfect for outdoor games and activities like soccer, frisbee, and badminton. The absence of on-site staff was not an issue as the owner was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The communal breakfast was a fantastic experience, allowing us to meet interesting people in a comfortable setting. The rustic decor and vintage furnishings added charm to our cozy and comfortable stay.

I had a fantastic stay at the Lodge at Millstone Hill. The location was perfect for exploring the Barre-Montpelier area and beyond. The lodge itself was beautiful, with a charming post and beam interior and stunning views from the Adirondack chairs on the lawn. The trails right outside the door were a bonus, allowing for outdoor activities like hiking and biking. The breakfast, served by the knowledgeable host Pierre, was delicious and included in the reasonable cost of the stay. I highly recommend this unique and enjoyable destination.

The lodge also offers various outdoor activities, such as hiking, which our group thoroughly enjoyed. The delicious meals served at the lodge were the cherry on top of our wonderful experience.

One minor downside was the lack of smoke detectors in the loft, which is a safety concern.

We loved the stunning location, surrounded by beautiful countryside and with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The hotel facilities were excellent, with spacious and well-decorated shared spaces. The breakfast was delicious, featuring homemade muffins and a refreshing fruit salad. The staff were superb, providing outstanding service throughout our stay.
