I had a fantastic stay at a well-located Sonder property in the heart of the Gaslamp district. The studio was fully equipped, spacious, and beautifully refurbished. Plus, the neighborhood was vibrant and lively. Despite a minor issue with the elevator being out of order, I still had a great experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. We were able to easily walk to the convention center and explore all the nearby bars and restaurants. the size of the room was also great, it had plenty of space and even included a full-sized kitchen, which was a nice bonus.

There were a couple of issues that bothered us during our stay. First, the bed was incredibly short and kept shifting on the base, making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep.

The kitchen was also a highlight, allowing me to cook my own meals whenever I wanted. Despite being in a central location, the noise levels were surprisingly low, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Great Location for Spacious 1-BR, Contemporary Condo in Heart of Gaslamp's 5th Ave! Slight issues only. No onsite staff for assistance, but by phone or email, there is prompt or immediate service and advice for property issues when needed. This is a very cool reuse and renovation of a historic hotel building, so elevator is cranky, old-school, but operable. Had an issue with the key lockbox and needed an extra set of keys, but only took about 15 minutes to resolve. Also, can be a bit noisy at night, as we were right in the heart of Gaslamp's clubs, bars and other venues, but we expected it. I liked everything about this property. It was beautiful inside and had a very rustic/ high end modern vibe to it. I loved that it was right in the center of all the bars and restaurants. Yes, there was noise at night due to the bars, nightclubs, and cars cruising the area with their music, but it wasn’t a big deal at all. I can see myself living in this building or staying for a long period. I will recommend to all my friends/family and will most definitely rebook this property. Loved it! I recently stayed at a wonderful hotel right in the heart of the city. The Sonder at The William Penn had a beautiful rustic/modern vibe that I absolutely loved. The location was perfect, surrounded by vibrant bars and restaurants. Despite the lively atmosphere, the noise was not a major issue. The apartment itself was spacious, well-appointed, and had all the amenities I needed. The kitchen and wifi were great perks. The staff were also very accommodating. I can see myself staying here for a long period or even living in this building. I will definitely recommend this property to my friends and family.

This hotel was in the perfect location, right in the heart of downtown. Everything I needed was within walking distance, including great restaurants and bars. The room was beautifully remodeled and cleaned, and I loved the rustic yet modern vibe. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The hotel staff, although I didn't see them, provided a number in case I needed anything. I also appreciated the little touches like having small bottles of olive oil available in case I wanted to cook.

One of the downsides of our stay was the lack of security on the windows. As a solo female traveler, I didn't feel safe with windows that didn't have locks.

The location was really great, right in the heart of all the action with a coffee shop just downstairs. the price was also very reasonable compared to other nearby hotels.

The elevator was quite old and temperamental, making it a bit of a hassle to get up and down to our room. We also found the room to be a bit outdated and not as modern as we were hoping.
