great views and quick access to amazing dining options

my stay recently was delightful, especially enjoying the renovated river view rooms that offered stunning scenery and being just a few steps from Bubba Gump Shrimp Co for a tasty meal after a day of exploring the riverfront which is perfect for leisurely walks along the water.

A buffet brunch to remember

The hotel offers a fantastic buffet brunch at the restaurant, which is definitely the highlight of the stay. The food and service were wonderful, making meals enjoyable.

absolutely terrible experience at new pioneer. noisy neighbors at 3 am made sleep impossible, staff clearly didn’t care. also, i found a large black widow spider in my room, like hello! how hard is cleanliness? expecting a room upgrade for all that? i almost wrote a glowing review, but just couldn’t. 2 stars seems generous!

Our stay highlighted the beautiful riverside views and lovely benches along the dock for relaxing evenings. The restaurant staff were genuinely welcoming, serving quality food with a great view.

However, we had some issues with cleanliness in outdoor areas, which detracted from the experience. The walkways were cluttered, and the ice machine on the lower floors wasn’t operational, requiring extra effort to find ice.

The elevator is 150 ft from some rooms!!! If you have mobility issues, expect to drag your luggage over rough terrain!!! The gambling hall is dark and closed, making it feel like a ghost town!!! WiFi only works in common areas, not in rooms!!!

We loved the outdoor pool and jacuzzi, especially since we had them to ourselves. We ate at Bumbleberry Flats. the food was tasty! The location is nice for scenic drives nearby. Just a heads-up, expect a $75 deposit at check-in.

One of my friends faced a frustrating experience. they felt the staff could be a bit more accommodating. We all agreed the check-in process had a somewhat adversarial feel, which wasn't ideal for starting our trip.

Enjoyed the river view room and walking the boardwalk. The outdoor atmosphere was refreshing, with unique spaces separated from the casino vibe. Great parking too!

The staff was super accommodating, and I enjoyed the clean and updated feel of the double room. Loved being on the ground floor for easy access! The river view was a nice bonus too! (great for morning coffee).

the grassy areas by the river are perfect for my dog, very enjoyable stay. the hallways could be cleaner which made the experience feel a bit off.

The location is great, with the river just steps away and lovely landscaping to enjoy during walks. I appreciated the comfortable beds in the room and the cleanliness of the entire facility. The restaurant offers delightful Mediterranean food, which I found to be a nice surprise. However, the air conditioning in my room was quite noisy, and I experienced delays with housekeeping services, receiving room cleaning only once during my stay. This inconsistency detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience.

my stay was pleasantly highlighted by the easy access to the riverfront, making my daily walks along the water a joy. There are fantastic dining options like Bubba Gump Shrimp Co just a few steps away, which made grabbing a bite after exploring super convenient and fun.

Loved the separate vibe around the hotel, with plenty of outdoor areas. Strolling along the boardwalk for breakfast was delightful, and river view rooms totally added to the charm. It’s just friendly and comfy all around!

However, the check-in felt like getting interrogated by security! And don’t expect to sit on that couch. it’s more of a ‘falling’ than a ‘sitting’ experience.

the ice machine was a bit tricky to find,, but we enjoyed the lovely view of the river from our room. the pool and spa were both well-maintained. The friendly staff made our stay enjoyable!
