Great location, friendly staff

Super close to all the sights and museums—you can walk everywhere! The staff were super nice and even upgraded me when I checked in. The rooftop bar was a fun surprise too. The room was kinda cramped, though, and I could hear the street noise a lot at night. Just keep that in mind!

The room was cozy but comfy, the staff were all super nice and helpful, and the hotel had a cool vibe and was spotless throughout. 🌟 The rooftop bar and whiskey bar were great spots to chill, and the jacuzzi was a nice extra touch. My only gripe was not being able to figure out the TV streaming setup - it was confusing to locate the HDMI cable and instructions were unclear, but not a big deal overall.

The hotel was spotlessly clean in the heart of Chinatown, offering a peaceful night's sleep with plenty of nearby amenities. Can't wait to come back for a longer visit.

Enjoyed a Southern comfort breakfast at Crimson. Loved the tasty biscuits. Fun is right onsite with the Thievery Corporation partnership. Room had a 50-inch TV and streaming capabilities. Rooftop bar had clear views of the Washington Monument. Complimentary access to a fitness outlet. Southern-focused restaurant had an amazing fried chicken sandwich. Hotel close to vibrant restaurant scene. Loved the lime-green furniture in the lobby. Met interesting art themes on each floor. A convenient 24-hour front desk - perfect for a busy mum like me!

Minimalist room & bathroom; functional for solo travelers.

During my transit stay at Motto by Hilton Washington DC City Center, I appreciated the convenience of the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro station, which offered easy, direct access to Union Station, just 2 stops away, as well as Reagan National Airport. The location near hotspots like the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the United States Capitol allowed me to explore the vibrant city with ease.

The location seemed a little sketchy, with a noticeable presence of homeless individuals and occasional police activity outside the hotel. While the hotel itself felt secure, with locked front doors and key card access, the external environment may be discomforting for solo travelers, especially during evening hours.

I just had a cozy stay near the Nat'l Portrait Gallery/American Art museum. the staff was so friendly and helpful! I'd come back for the AMAZING breakfast! the rooms were smaller than expected but clean. Would recommend!

Very modern, lovely decor, friendly staff, great location! The rooms are small but well-designed; the bed is incredibly comfortable. The lights above the bed are convenient, and the staff is helpful. The surrounding landmarks like the National Mall and Lincoln Memorial offered enjoyable family outings, enhancing our stay despite the small rooms. The noise levels were surprisingly low, allowing for a peaceful rest after exploring the nearby attractions.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay feel like home. the housekeeping was superb, always refreshing our room promptly. the lobby area was vibrant, with a bar and restaurant that offered delicious meals and drinks. We felt like VIPs with the attentive service, unlike in other hotels we've stayed at in major cities.

Although the location of this hotel was top-notch for exploring DC's attractions, the area around it could be a bit sketchy at night, with occasional police activities. If only the shower pressure could be improved a bit, it would be the cherry on top of a wonderful stay.

The staff helped with my elderly parents which left a lasting impression. The place suits me perfectly. With Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, bar, and gym, I have everything I need. I keep coming back for romantic escapes.

the motto is super clean and the location is perfect - within walking distance to all the main sights. also, the staff are really nice and helpful. oh, and there's a rooftop with delicious coffee!

The value for money at the hotel was great, with two bars, a restaurant, and access to a gym. The room was cozy and bright, with good blackout shades, and the staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful. The location in Chinatown was convenient, with easy access to the metro and plenty of restaurants in the area.

More breakfast choices would have made it even better.

Our recent stay at Motto was exceptional. The hotel is in a great location, near the metro station and many bus routes. There are also plenty of great restaurants and a supermarket just around the corner. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to store our luggage after checking out. The wifi was reliable and the television in our room was large. We felt comfortable and taken care of during our stay.

We recently stayed at Motto in DC for a week-long sightseeing trip. The hotel's convenient location meant we didn't need to rent a car, and the rooms were impeccably clean, comfortable, and soundproof. The staff, especially Jordan at the front desk, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even allowed food deliveries to be left with them while we went down to pick it up. Safety measures were also impressive, with room key access required for entry to the front entrance and elevators. Motto is now our go-to hotel for every DC trip.

I do recommend this hotel.

Great location with easy access to Metro, attractions, and restaurants. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Small but clean rooms with modern bathrooms. Perfect for those travelling by car.
