The value for my money at the Renaissance was fantastic and the room itself was great, spacious and clean. The location was perfect for exploring downtown and the waterfront, with beautiful views from the hotel. The staff treated us wonderfully, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

The only breakfast option that could have been improved was the lack of variety in the buffet selection.

This hotel boasts a spectacular location on the Elizabeth River with stunning views of the Norfolk skyline. Also, it is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown and the ferry to Norfolk Waterside. Moreover, there are plenty of eateries on the Portsmouth side of Virginia. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and provide modern amenities. Also, the staff is friendly and professional, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The hotel lacks in-room microwaves, inconveniencing some guests.

Large rooms with fantastic views. Friendly staff provided excellent customer service and quick room service. Great location with easy access to nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Water pressure in the shower is excellent. Would recommend staying here.

We were thrilled with our early check-in request being accommodated, and the friendly and helpful staff at the service counter. The manager, Jeffro, went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction and even offered suggestions for a great view. The location is excellent, with easy access to Old Town, great restaurants, and historical attractions. The short walk to the ferry to Norfolk was also a plus.

Felt truly spoiled, no reason to complain.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location of the hotel, right on the water with great views. Although the elevators were a bit slow, I enjoyed taking a moment to appreciate the scenery while waiting. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was attentive to my needs. I recommend the Renaissance for its prime location and comfortable accommodations.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff at the desk and bar were excellent, always friendly and helpful. The beautiful view of the harbor and Norfolk Waterside from my room was absolutely breathtaking. Speaking of the room, it was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Plus, the location of this hotel was perfect. I was able to walk to many eateries on the Portsmouth side of VA, and it was also close to the ferry that takes you to Norfolk. The breakfast served here was delicious and the staff, especially Shawn, provided exceptional service. I can't recommend this hotel enough!

Everything was spot on.

As young holiday goers, we loved the beautiful views of the water from our room and the well-appointed, updated rooms. The comfortable beds and fresh, modern bathrooms were a plus. The hotel's location in a historic neighborhood with nice local restaurants added charm to our stay. And having Starbucks and Wawa nearby made it convenient for all our needs.

This hotel is in a fantastic location right on the river front, providing a beautiful view. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. I also appreciated the option of having breakfast included, which was a great value for the price.

All aspects of my stay were satisfactory.

The room was so cozy with a coffee maker and a seating area. I loved the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows - felt like I was on top of the world! It was like a dream!

I personally found the shower/tub combination a bit small, but I know some people like it.

I had a wonderful stay at the Renaissance hotel in Portsmouth. The "City View" room I had was clean and spacious, with beautiful views of the Norfolk skyline from the hallway. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the valets were particularly outstanding. The location was perfect for me, as I had relatives within easy walking distance of the hotel. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
