I recently discovered this hidden gem in the Black Hills and it's my new favorite place to stay. The location is perfect, with easy access to all the attractions in the area. The rooms are newly remodeled, clean, and equipped with modern amenities such as large TVs, refrigerators, microwaves. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay. I also appreciate the affordable rates, making it a great value for the money.

The parking can be a bit challenging at times.

the facility may be dated, but the room was clean with hot water and plenty of plug ins. the owner and her staff were friendly and made our stay special. the motel has a nice layout with a front covered porch area, complete with chairs, tables, and even a fireplace. the rooms have been nicely renovated with new furnishings. It's a great resting spot with open fields where we saw deer.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like 😊

As adventure travelers, we loved the spacious room with excellent facilities and the ideal location for exploring the Black Hills. Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park were easily accessible.

Our stay at Sage Motel was absolutely wonderful! The room exceeded our expectations with a new king size bed that was incredibly comfortable. The towels were soft and luxurious, and even the toilet paper was thick and soft. We enjoyed sitting on the patio furniture, watching deer walk by in the evenings. our experience was amazing!

Drawbacks: The bed was a bit firmer than we prefer, although it wasn't terrible. Also, the signage for the motel was difficult to see, causing us to accidentally go to the neighboring motel at first.

The Sage Motel in Newcastle exceeded my expectations in every way. The owners went above and beyond to upgrade the rooms and outdoor patio area, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The bed with memory foam was incredibly comfortable, and the new furniture added a modern touch to the rooms. I loved the outdoor games like corn hole and giant Jenga, even though I didn't get a chance to play. The laundry service was reasonably priced and delivered folded to my room, making my stay even more convenient. The attention to detail, from the folded toilet paper to the seating areas outside each room, made me feel welcomed and ensured a clean and safe environment. The code entry system was a seamless and convenient way to access my room when I arrived late. I had a fantastic stay and have been recommending the Sage Motel to everyone I know.

This is our second stay at Sage. It is the halfway point of our trip and a perfect place for a night's sleep. Rooms are clean and beds so comfortable. Bathroom is a great size and water pressure lovely. All of it! The new king size bed was so comfortable. The towels were softer and bigger than the cheap motel towels. Even the toilet paper was wonderfully thick and soft. And not to be forgotten, sitting out on the patio furniture and watching the deer walk by in the evenings was so glorious!

We stayed at this retro Route 66 motel for a few nights. The room was clean, comfortable, and had triple plug-ins for charging devices. The new king-size bed was amazingly cozy, and the towels and toilet paper were high-quality. The motel is beautifully laid out, with a front porch area, fireplace, and even a jumbo-sized Jenna game. The staff was friendly, and the surrounding open fields were frequented by deer. We will definitely be back!
