The location of this hotel was perfect for my holiday. It was within walking distance to the beach and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Plus, there was free parking in the surrounding neighborhoods, which was a bonus. The atmosphere at the hotel was great, with multiple outdoor areas to hang out in and a friendly staff. I also appreciated that the hotel rented out beach equipment and provided activity suggestions.

One thing that bothered me during my stay was the lack of enforcement of quiet hours. There were guests on the patio who were loud all night, and some of the dorm room windows opened to the patio, which made the noise even more disruptive.

The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is close to everything, including transport options. It is also right next to the beach, allowing for easy access and stunning views. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with tasteful decor and art throughout. the staff and fellow guests are friendly, creating a cozy and chill atmosphere.

One negative aspect is that the WiFi can be spotty at times, so it is recommended to bring a USB dongler or extender for a solid connection.

The value for money was great at Samesun Ocean Beach! The room was fantastic, with a dreamy bed and a private bathroom. The location was perfect, just a 4-minute walk to the beach and surrounded by delicious eateries. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Plus, they offered discounted rates at the neighboring coffee shop, which had amazing coffee!

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Joey, in particular, was the best! the location couldn't have been better, just a short 5-minute walk to the beach. the hostel was clean, the decor was well done, and the staff was friendly. I had a great experience staying in a 6 female room, the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious enough. They even have a 24-hour reception and offer luggage storage after check-out. Highly recommend this place!

Samesun Ocean Beach exceeded my expectations in every way. the hostel has a great atmosphere, making it easy to connect with fellow travelers from around the world. They provide all the amenities you could ask for, from surfboard rentals to yoga mats and even bikes. the newly tiled showers and private bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is well-equipped for self-service. the lounge areas are perfect for both quiet relaxation or socializing with other guests. the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, even providing me with a late-night snack upon my arrival. the artwork and decor throughout the hostel add a unique touch to the overall experience. I can't wait to return on my next visit.

The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning, consisting of pancakes and waffles. the hostel provided a fantastic experience.

The breakfast and staff were super nice, but the best thing was the mind-blowing vibe! Seriously, the travelers here were jaw-droppingly fantastic. We all ended up extending our stay and even traveled together to another city on the weekend. The social atmosphere was amazing, with people from all walks of life, plenty of chill and work spaces, and the front porch was a great spot for taking calls or getting work done. The place was kept super clean, and having our own sink and mirror in the dorm room was a great convenience. The location was great, with easy access to the beach and transportation. The staff was absolutely great - from the receptionist to the owner. This place is definitely the place to be!

loved my time in san diego and samesun ocean beach. big common areas, outdoor space to work, and close to the beach. they even provide free surf equipment! wish i could have stayed longer. will return!
