The Bell Tent experience offered a unique stay with a cozy atmosphere perfect for a brief escape into nature. Surrounded by stunning desert landscapes, it did provide a unique ambiance that appeals to those looking for a different lodging experience.

However, the breakfast was lackluster, consisting of little more than pop tarts without utensils, which made for a frustrating start to the day. Guests also experienced issues with the communal water supply running out, and limited seating meant meals were often eaten from laps, which detracted from overall comfort. The pricing feels inflated for the quality and experience provided, and mixed feelings on the atmosphere left a few guests questioning its authenticity. Overall, it felt more like an expensive night in the wilderness than a well-rounded getaway.

Staying at Shash Dine' Ecoretreat was like stepping into another world. The breathtaking desert sky was mesmerizing—a true escape into nature. The cozy inside of our Navajo hogan, complete with a wood-burning stove, made evenings magical, especially as the stars sparkled overhead during our delicious campfire dinners.

While our experience was largely exceptional, a minor hiccup was the lack of hand sanitizer in the shared facilities. However, disinfectant wipes were provided, though they could be better for the environment.

Staying in the Traditional Navajo Hogan was a unique experience, complete with a cozy wood stove that kept me warm during chilly nights under a beautiful starry sky. The stunning views and secluded ambiance made it a memorable evening around the campfire.

However, the lack of a dining table meant that mealtimes often felt cramped, with guests eating off their laps, which was less than ideal. Breakfast was limited, featuring basic options like pop tarts without utensils, making the start of the day feel frustrating. Additionally, the hogan is about a 10-minute walk from communal areas, so access to the campfire and socializing could be inconvenient. The sparse communal facilities and occasional issues with the water supply further detracted from the convenience of the stay.
