Our room at South Pier Inn was absolutely beautiful! The view of the harbor was breathtaking and we even got to see a big ship in the middle of the night. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were soft and nice. The amenities in the bathroom and living room were thoughtful and the view of the lift bridge was wonderful. We also appreciated the little extras like phone chargers, umbrellas, and separate air and fireplace thermostats. The continental breakfast exceeded our expectations with fresh fruits, jellied pastries, and even microwave popcorn. South Pier Inn went above and beyond compared to any hotel we have stayed in before.

The view from my room was breathtaking. I could watch ships pass by, and even holler at the crew. The spacious room was clean and had a private patio. Great location, walking distance to waterfront attractions. Breakfast had bakery items from a local bakery, which was a nice touch.

We had a canal view with a balcony to enjoy the water traffic and wildlife. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a fireplace and hot tub. The den area had large windows and binoculars to get a closer look at the ships passing through. The separate bedroom made it feel like a suite, and we loved the fire pit and chairs to watch the sunset over the harbor. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast provided plenty of choices with a view of the canal and bridge. The location was perfect, allowing us to walk to dining and shopping, and the printouts of ship traffic schedules ensured we didn't miss any action.

We felt very happy during our stay and had no reason to complain.

Room was spacious, comfortable bed with cloud-like pillows. Jacuzzi tub was great with binoculars provided. Lobby offered a cozy and scenic setting to enjoy the continental breakfast and free coffee, with a view of ships passing by. Glass fire outside is a nice touch.

Breakfast lacked variety and quantity.

We had an amazing stay here with beautiful views of the harbor and canal next to the bridge. The service provided by the staff was exceptional with prompt housekeeping and welcome drink on arrival. The room amenities such as ironing facilities, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and flat-screen TV made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The garden furniture and terrace with soundproofed rooms provided a peaceful and relaxing environment.

Would highly recommend this place to friends.

I recently stayed at a gem of a small hotel in a great location. The room was comfortable and the location was very convenient. It was a delight to watch the aerial lift bridge raise and lower and see the huge cargo ships go by. The staff at the hotel were welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful with answering questions and providing information. The hotel had a relaxing and enjoyable ambiance, with Adirondack chairs on the lawn and the option to borrow wine glasses. The views of Lake Superior were outstanding and it was truly enjoyable to watch the ships come in from my room or on the balcony. The hotel's proximity to Canal Park and its numerous restaurants and shops was also a major plus. I will definitely be staying here again!

The suite was spacious and cozy, with a super comfy king bed and a pull-out sofa for lounging. The HDTVs in both the living room and bedroom made it feel like a home away from home. And let's not forget the plush bathrobe - such a nice touch!

Personally, the DVD player could be updated for easier use.
