Our stay at Square Rigger Lodge was fantastic! We were in a Double Room with a Lake View, and the view was completely unobstructed—a breathtaking sight every morning as we sipped our coffee on the balcony. The staff was attentive and even addressed our concerns quickly. The private beach area with lounge chairs made for a relaxing evening after our adventures. Plus, the convenience of being within walking distance to local restaurants was a bonus! This is definitely a gem in Door County!

The fan on the heating unit was a bit loud.

From our cozy room, we woke up to breathtaking sunrises over Lake Michigan. The beach was an idyllic private spot, perfect for evening relaxation with lounge chairs and stunning views.

Gorgeous private beach for some relaxation! The small plate options were tasty, and it was blissfully quiet after Labor Day. Plus, there’s a little store close by for snacks and goodies.

No microwave in the room, but we made do with the one in the office—what a trek! And the bed could've been a little less 'firm,' unless you enjoy sleeping on a brick.

Ask about room upgrades when you arrive. the new owners have made significant improvements, and a lake view could enhance your stay!

Staying on the second floor provided stunning lake views from our balcony, making morning coffee a delight. The private beach area with lounge chairs was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the nearby attractions. While the room was clean and had everything we needed, I noticed the bathroom floor was slippery, which made me a bit cautious. Additionally, having a microwave in the room would’ve been convenient for late-night snacks. Despite these minor issues, the friendly service and great location made this a memorable visit.

Had an awesome group getaway! We loved the beautiful lake view from our room, and the location made it easy to visit the Cana Lighthouse and Cave Point Park. The small breakfast plates were a fun treat, and the friendly staff made our stay even better. Definitely planning to return!

On the downside, the bathroom floor was pretty slippery, which made things a bit tricky. Just be careful!

The bathroom floor is dangerously slippery when wet!!! A microwave in the room would be convenient!!! Attention to drainage issues in the sinks and shower would greatly enhance the experience!!!

we really enjoyed our stay at square rigger lodge. the coffee was amazing, and we loved getting specialty drinks at the coffee shop. the beach was fantastic, with sturdy chairs and great views. it was close to everything we wanted to see too!

would love to see some updates to the rooms.

the bathroom floor was slicker than a greased pig, absolutely dangerous! and was that a fan on the heating unit or a jet engine? expected a room upgrade upon arrival but, like everything else, that was too much to ask. almost gave this place a good review, but alas, here we are. what a letdown.

this place is super cozy and we loved the private beach! ! waking up to those amazing sunrises over lake michigan was just breath taking. the coffee shop has delish drinks, and chatting with elizabeth every morning was a highlight. there’s a cute playground for the kiddos too, which is a nice touch! plus, the new owners made some cool upgrades!
