As youngsters, we loved the spacious and cozy rooms with fireplaces. The location was perfect, just one block from the beach in a quiet area. The staff were friendly and kept the rooms and outside areas clean. Easy access to Pacific Grove, Monterey, and Carmel.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The value for money is incredible, with spacious rooms that have all the basic amenities you need. The location is perfect for scenic walks, being within walking distance to the ocean and very close to the Pacific Grove beaches. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The attention to detail, such as having a spa bath in the rooms and our own fireplace for those rainy days, really made our stay memorable.

I had the most enjoyable stay at a cozy and warm inn in Pacific Grove. The staff at Sunset Inn made me feel like family, providing a late checkout without any fuss. In the evenings, I loved relaxing by the outdoor fireplace and the complimentary refreshments were a great touch. Throughout the day, there were snacks available alongside juice, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the beach. This was definitely the most enjoyable place I've stayed in Pacific Grove.

Had some noise issues with guests in the room below and were told to be very quiet upon check-in. Also, had to decline multiple offers of alcohol from the front desk even after explaining that we don't drink.

The value for money at this hotel is exceptional. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail in the well-appointed rooms. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Monterey Bay, Carmel, and the Big Sur coast. The quiet neighborhood allows for a peaceful stay, and the helpful and friendly staff make you feel right at home.

We had an amazing experience at Sunset Inn. The front desk went above and beyond to make us feel like family. Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a gift of Chardonnay to celebrate our anniversary. The room was stunningly clean, from floor to ceiling. The hardwood floors and cozy sitting area next to the fridge and Keurig were a nice touch. The bathroom was gorgeous, with a rainfall shower head and plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable, and the fireplace added a cozy atmosphere. we couldn't be happier with our stay at Sunset Inn.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Pacific Grove and had a great experience. The location was fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from the stunning Asilomar Beach and trail, as well as being close to the Point Pinos lighthouse and Pacific Grove Golf Course. It was also convenient to visit the John Denver memorial plaque and the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, both only a short drive away.

All in all, my stay at this hotel was enjoyable and I would highly recommend it. However, I do feel that the breakfast could have offered a bit more variety, perhaps including hard-boiled eggs or toast.
