For the price we paid, we got great value - the room was clean and cozy. The location was perfect, and the staff treated us like royalty.

The inn also has a great restaurant with a large outdoor deck overlooking a creek.

The inn is an older building and lacks an elevator, which may pose difficulty for those with mobility issues.

Some guests were noisy and inconsiderate late at night, running through the hallways and disrupting the peace. the town was small with limited attractions to explore.

The location was perfect for exploring Hudson Valley attractions and was close to Woodstock. Additionally, there were nearby hiking and climbing trails to enjoy. I had a fantastic stay at The 1850 House Inn And Tavern in Rosendale. The warm welcome and helpful staff made us feel right at home. The room was comfortable and clean, with exceptional linens. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed drinks at the bar. The culinary experience was simply stupendous, with well-balanced flavors and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing, with a cozy fireplace in the common room. We also loved the outdoor deck and the peaceful waterfront views. Despite the limited activities in Rosendale, the proximity to New Paltz and the Mohonk Preserve offered more options for exploration. I highly recommend this wonderful inn and tavern for a great escapade from the hustle and bustle of New York City.

The hotel had a few good things going for it, such as the comfortable rooms and the friendly staff. the location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions. It was also quite affordable, which was a big plus.

There were a few things that made this hotel a less than ideal choice. there were quite a few creepy crawlies in and around the hotel, which made for a very uncomfortable stay.

The 1850 House Inn & Tavern is conveniently located near Hyde Park, Woodstock, and the Catskills region, making it a great base for exploring the area. The attention to detail in this hotel is commendable, from the rustic yet comfortable rooms to the beautiful artwork made from blown up objects. I also appreciated the friendly and attentive staff, who were always ready to assist with any requests. The breakfast served at this hotel is absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options including gluten-free choices. The innkeeper, Jessica, prepared a mouthwatering frittata, sweet and spicy bacon. It was a delightful way to start the day. Furthermore, the hotel's tavern provided a cozy atmosphere to enjoy a nightcap, and the drinks were full of flavor and expertly made.

The hotel also has a lovely patio facing the river, where I enjoyed a delicious dinner one night. The food and beverage menus offered great choices and I was immensely pleased with my selection. The hospitality provided by the owner, Mike, was exceptional. He prepared hearty and delicious breakfasts and offered helpful tips for exploring the surrounding area. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.
