As youngsters, we absolutely loved the restaurant inside The Grange. The food was fantastic and the bartender really knew his stuff. The waiter was super nice and the old-time charm of the place was beautiful and clean. It was also conveniently located near the Capitol, which was within walking distance.

We felt really comfortable during our stay and had nothing to complain about.

The breakfast menu could use some improvement, especially in offering butter and jam options for toast.

From the moment I walked into this charming hotel, I was impressed with the historic architecture and beautiful decor. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable, from the front desk to the maid service to the valet. The room I stayed in had a quaint charm and offered a wonderful view of the Capital. The bathroom was a highlight with its deep bath, providing a luxurious experience. The autograph wall was a cool feature, and finding Robert Downey Jr.'s autograph made my day. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore nearby restaurants and attractions. the friendly staff and the blend of historic charm and modern amenities make me want to return.

The location of The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection was perfect for us. We were able to easily walk to our event without any hassle. It was also a great convenience to have excellent food options within the hotel, so we didn't have to leave to find a good meal.

I loved the hotel's location, which was near great nightspots and entertainment areas. The room we stayed in had an excellent view from the 12th floor and had a convenient dresser. Although we couldn't have breakfast, the value for money was worth it, and the staff was always attentive to our needs.

All in all, this hotel was great.

As young holiday goers, we loved the politically themed decor and humorous art from the sacbee political cartoons. The clean and comfortable rooms, along with the friendly and accommodating staff, made our stay enjoyable. The presence of a restaurant on-site and a convenient corner store across the street added to the conveniences of the hotel's central downtown location.

The service at the hotel was exceptional and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. the breakfast was delicious and the waiter was a delight. They even packed up flowers that were delivered to our room for our anniversary, so we could take them home on the train.

The park across the street from the hotel felt unsafe after hours, which was a bit concerning. Additionally, the breakfast prices were quite high for what was offered, which was a surprise.

We were pleasantly surprised by the luxurious decor and comfortable amenities at Citizen. Toby went above and beyond to upgrade our noisy room, and the central location made it easy to explore the city. we recommend Citizen for a downtown Sac stay.

The staff at The Citizen Hotel made our stay truly exceptional! From the moment we checked in, they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The front office staff was friendly and accommodating, even checking us in early when our room was available. The Front office manager, Steve, made sure all our room assignments were correct and the restaurant manager personally introduced us to the waiting staff, ensuring prompt service due to our tight schedule. The bellman, Gerardo, acted as our guide and concierge throughout our stay, providing invaluable recommendations. The Operations Manager, Johnny, coordinated every aspect of our stay flawlessly, from valet parking to meeting space to recommendations for local food. The general manager, David Shipman, even made two visits to the restaurant to ensure our stay was going well. We were truly impressed by the level of personalized attention and care we received from the entire team.

While our stay at The Citizen Hotel was exceptional, there were a couple of drawbacks. We did experience some noise issues on the first night due to a party downstairs that lasted until after 11pm.

Love the small and intimate atmosphere. The conjoined restaurant made service easier and enjoyable. Plush bed sheets and towel robes were a highlight.

We loved the unique Devore in the lobby and rooms, it made the hotel feel special. The bed was beautiful and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel's location in Chavez Park was convenient for exploring downtown and being close to everything. Additionally, the staff were helpful and friendly, providing excellent service.

There was nothing we didn't like.
