I stayed at The Clifton for a springtime getaway with my grandgirls. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us, especially with the food options for the kids. The rooms were spacious, with modern bathrooms and a lovely mountain view. The included breakfast was just the right amount, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner on the patio. The Carriage House was perfect for the three of us, with a patio next to the croquet yard that the girls loved. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our family and friends.

During my recent stay at a charming inn in the Piedmont area, I was delighted to discover a beautifully updated historic property. The friendly staff made me feel welcomed and the Carriage House room I stayed in was well-appointed and comfortable. The highlight of my stay was the unique library dining room, where I enjoyed a fun and delicious dinner. The bar had a great selection of drinks and the bartender was very knowledgeable. my experience at this inn was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend it.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel for our wedding anniversary. the luxurious amenities were beyond our expectations. the room was spacious and well-maintained with exclusive room advantages, providing us with a comfortable and relaxing experience. the catering service was superb with an outdoor dining area and an imaginative menu that made our taste buds dance. the SPA and wellness centre exceeded our expectations with a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

The only minor issue we encountered was in the bar/lounge area, where the breakfast was continental, with only sugary, fattening muffins available. It was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel's luxuries.

The location of the hotel was lovely, with a quiet lake and seating on a trail within the grounds. It was a great place to enjoy a drink at sundown. Additionally, the restaurant food was good, with a delicious breakfast offered.

On the downside, the hotel was a bit far from the city center, requiring a 10-15 minute cab ride to get there. Furthermore, the room I stayed in had a noisy air conditioning unit and the bathroom facilities were quaint but inefficient.

We stayed in the Blue Ridge suite in the main house and it was lovely. The atmosphere was quiet and serene, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Although the continental breakfast was simple with just yogurt and pastry, it was surprisingly filling and delicious. The location was also very convenient, just a short drive away from UVA where our daughter attends college. We can't wait to come back for another visit at The Clifton!

The staff went above and beyond to cater to the food preferences of my grandgirls, aged 8-10, making our stay even more enjoyable. The Carriage House we stayed in was perfect for us, and the girls loved being near the croquet yard. this has become my go-to springtime getaway destination.
