We stayed at The Colonial Terrace for a week, using it as a perfect base for cycling on the Monterey Peninsula and exploring Big Sur. The cozy room had secure bicycle storage and a fireplace, plus a ceramic heater for chilly mornings. The continental breakfast, delivered to our door, had a great selection and was unlimited. We loved that our room faced the garden but still had the soothing sound of the nearby waves. The location, just a block and a half from Carmel Beach, was ideal for long walks and enjoying the beautiful ocean views. The staff were responsive and pleasant, and we even got a free upgrade to a luxurious ocean view suite. our stay was comfortable, convenient, and filled with natural beauty.

The best aspects of our stay were the cozy and comfortable room and the friendly staff. The room was so nice and cozy that we didn't want to leave! We had a big and comfy bed, and the towels and amenities were all provided. One advantage we enjoyed was the little private patio with sunbeds where we could lounge around and enjoy the nice weather. Additionally, the staff were very friendly and attentive, providing excellent room service.

The worst aspect of our stay was the underwhelming breakfast. Although we knew not to expect a lot of food due to the small size of the place, we were hoping for more than just a selection of bread and spreads.
