I recently stayed at The Detroit Club for my daughter's volleyball tournament at Cobo Center. The hotel was beautifully decorated with stunning artwork by local artists. The central location allowed us to explore the city on foot. Despite the WiFi and cable being out due to a storm, we didn't miss them. The staff, particularly the evening bartender and the manager, were friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel's history and artwork.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

If I had to mention a small downside, it would be that the Continental breakfast could have included butter or cream cheese for the rolls. Additionally, having bubble bath available in the room would have enhanced the experience of the luxurious bathtub.

We particularly enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff who provided us with great recommendations for local restaurants. the fact that the room was very clean and the bedding was comfortable and cozy also made our stay enjoyable.

There were a few aspects that could be improved. the lack of a fridge in the room was inconvenient.

Great gourmet dinner. Wonderful bathroom. Comfortable beds. Fine reconstructed glamour of a bygone age. A common room for every mood. Fine coffee and rolls and yogurt right outside one's room. Front desk staff treat you as a valued guest from the moment you walk in. The flowers requested for the room were perfect and at a good price. The chocolate covered strawberries prepared by the kitchen were AMAZING. The ambience of the building and room were elegant and conveyed old world opulence. Excellent food in the restaurant, especially the chowder and niçoise. The care put into the food is truly appreciated. The soaking tub in the executive room is the best way to unwind at the end of the day. In-room couples massage was another highlight from our staycation. Feeling pampered in elegance was just the thing to make a memorable Valentine's Day.
