The B&B is located in a beautiful and historic neighborhood, just a 20-minute walk from downtown. The innkeepers, John and Nicky, were excellent and provided great service. There are wonderful restaurants within a short walk. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. The common area had a quiet and respectful atmosphere.

Nothing for me.

We had a night in Asheville and decided to stay at The Lion and The Rose. It was a good decision. Jim, the owner, was so accommodating. Their home is beautiful, very well maintained. We stayed in the Marion room and it was so comfortable. The breakfast that Jim prepared was outstanding! Not only was it delicious, but it was more than I could eat! We have stayed in B&B's all over the country and this one was by far the best we have stayed at. Next time we are back in Asheville we will definitely stay here and for more than one night! I highly recommend this B&B.

The complimentary pantry and daily breakfast treats were a nice touch, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. Plus, the house had cozy decor that felt home-like.

The New Year's Eve party held on the premises was very loud and went on until the early hours of the morning. It was difficult to sleep with the noise and caused a lot of disruption.

The Lion and the Rose exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is ideal, situated in a gorgeous older neighborhood of Asheville that is both historic and quiet. We enjoyed exploring the nearby downtown area, and there is even a very good restaurant just a couple blocks down the road. The attention to detail in the rooms is impressive, with cozy robes and every amenity you could possibly need. We particularly loved the four poster bed, which added a touch of elegance to our stay. Finally, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, with a menu that changed daily and featured the finest touches. We couldn't have asked for a better start to our day.
