We had a fantastic stay at the Makai Sunset Inn. The location right by the ocean was absolutely amazing. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and witnessing breathtaking sunsets from our balcony was a highlight. The free and easy parking was a plus. The room was well-equipped with complete kitchenware and even provided supplies such as coffee, sugar, and cream. The inn is conveniently located within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and a supermarket. The view of Lanai, Molokai, and Maui sunsets was stunning, and being able to spot sea turtles from our balcony was an unforgettable experience. The communication with the inn was excellent, with clear instructions given for self-check-in.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had a balcony overlooking the ocean. The kitchen facilities were excellent, and the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The hotel had an old world Maui charm that I loved. The sunset views were breathtaking, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Maui. I had a memorable experience and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel had a great location right by the shore, perfect for listening to the ocean sounds all day. There was a public beach down the road, and guests could relax on comfortable furniture outside of their rooms. The rooms were clean and had ceiling fans throughout, while there were loungers to enjoy the views.

One aspect of the hotel was not up to par. It would have been helpful to have stronger WiFi or have the bandwidth issue fixed so that guests could work or enjoy browsing the web without difficulty.

We loved the cozy, clean room with a full kitchen and amazing ocean view at Makai Sunset Inn. The sound of the waves crashing was so relaxing and we enjoyed sitting on the private lanai watching sunsets. The location was great, within walking distance to town and a short drive to the beach. we highly recommend this hotel for its stunning views and excellent value.

The ocean view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, with windows that gave us a beautiful 90-degree view. We could even open the window vents to hear the soothing sound of the waves crashing. The comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep, and the mini kitchen in the room was a convenient addition. The location was perfect - away from the busy touristy area but still close enough to downtown for a quick 10-minute drive or a pleasant 25-minute walk. The fact that we were within walking distance of multiple restaurants and the Old Lahaina Luau was a major plus. Plus, the provision of beach towels and the on-site washer and dryer were convenient amenities.

The cleanliness of the room was a major letdown. The floors were dirty and dusty, and there were little red bugs in both the bathroom and kitchen.
