The Sam Houston hotel was a great value for the money. The room was nice, and having two bathrooms was a unique and appreciated feature. The downtown location was convenient, and the staff, especially Denise, went above and beyond to compensate for any inconvenience.

The location was perfect, as it was downtown and within walking distance to many sights and sounds of the city. Plus, transportation to anywhere downtown was easily accessible. The bar was a fun place to unwind, and the drinks and appetizers were top-notch. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, and helpfulness of the staff made this a great choice.

The room was well-equipped with plenty of amenities like a mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities, and ironing facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. The swimming pool and fitness centre were also great additions.

My room on the 4th floor had a obstructed view due to a tree, which was a letdown. Additionally, I experienced issues with the digital key and check-in process, which left me feeling frustrated.

Nothing to dislike.

I loved that the hotel was within walking distance of Minute Maid Park, so we didn't have to pay for parking when we went to the Astros game. There were also plenty of local restaurants nearby, making it easy to find a variety of dining options. Additionally, being close to Buffalo Bayou was a plus since it provided a beautiful area for walks or runs.
