This hotel is in a great location, right off the beach in a funky beach neighborhood. The street it's on is hip and lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. The rooms directly face an inside patio, creating a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. I also appreciated the attention to detail with the chip card lockers and the bathrooms with a six-bed dorm. Plus, having breakfast included was an added bonus.

Everything was more than okay, no improvements needed.

Staying at a hostel for the first time, I had a layover before a transpacific flight and wanted to stay in OB without spending much. I was happily surprised at Usa Hostels Ocean Beach! The staff was great, the property was clean and friendly, and I felt safe sharing a room with two pleasant and respectful young men. The beds had everything I needed, from lights to docking stations, and there were plenty of bathrooms outside of the room. I also appreciated the lockers within the room and the water fountain provided. it was a worry-free and comfortable stay.

The facilities at this hotel were safe and clean, which was a relief. the free breakfast was amazing and was restocked until 11 am, giving me plenty of time to grab a bite before starting my day. the location was fantastic, with great surf just a minute away.

One aspect I didn't enjoy was the noise in the dorm room. Sharing a 6-bunk dorm meant people were coming and going all night, often turning on the main light and disturbing my sleep.

The location of the hostel is ideal, as it is close to everything and extremely close to the beach. The rooms have thick mattresses with pastel tie-dyed duvets that provide a comfortable sleep. The communal areas, such as the front porch, sitting room, and outdoor patio, are great spots for gathering and connecting with other travelers. The staff at the hostel are warm and welcoming, making the stay rewarding.

There is poor air circulation in the rooms, causing a sauna-like atmosphere with a mildew smell.

Great location - just a stone's throw away from the beach. The hostel was clean, and the community events were a highlight. a fantastic experience. Even though some guests are loud, it's a hostel after all. I would definitely recommend this hostel.
