I was in San Diego to explore the local attractions, and the hotel's central location was perfect for walking to nearby spots like Whole Foods and a host of restaurants. I appreciated the modern updates in my room, especially the fun wallpaper and unique bathroom tiling. Parking was a significant plus since it's tricky to find in this busy area. While there was some noise due to the proximity to the freeway, it was manageable overall. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable base in the heart of Hillcrest.

The best part of my stay was the location—smack in the heart of Hillcrest. I loved strolling to nearby cafes and bars. the energy was infectious! Short drives took me to gorgeous Balboa Park for some refreshing afternoon vibes.

However, I struggled with noise, as the walls were quite thin. Also, the front desk wasn’t always staffed, leading to a chaotic checkout experience.

The Queen Studio was clean with unique bathroom tiling, and I enjoyed the fun wallpaper. However, the bed was too firm for my liking, and I faced issues like a lack of basic toiletries and thin walls that allowed for noise disturbance from neighbors. This place is suitable for a short stay or those who appreciate a quirky decor in a lively area.

For a unique experience, check out the local farmers' market nearby on weekends for fresh produce and local goods. It adds a special touch to your stay.
