We had an incredible experience doing the Buffalo trek with Lily and at the homestay. Each part of the two days was well-planned out, and Lily was very good at letting us know what to expect. We had never been to Vietnam, let alone a small city like Sapa, so we didn’t know quite what we had signed up for. In the end, we were so happy we did it! Lily is a true local and a part of the Hmong community. She is very passionate about supporting the local minority villages and truly wants to educate tourists on local customs and traditions. the trek itself was moderate-difficult intensity and offered incredible views along the way. the homestay, owned by a Hmong family, was very accommodating, with clean facilities and a delicious home-cooked dinner. we highly recommend the Buffalo trek and homestay experience.
