I recently stayed at Hosteria El Alamo for a few days and I couldn't recommend it more. The staff at the reception went above and beyond to assist us, providing helpful advice and even checking the weather for our outdoor activities. They were kind enough to offer us tea on our leaving day after a long trek. The location is excellent, situated on the Main Street with plenty of restaurants nearby. The free and secure luggage storage was a lifesaver for our multi-day treks. The owner was friendly and even treated us to coffee in the public room. a great stay!

They also offered a free rental of trekking poles. the hotel was a decent option for those looking for a no-frills stay in the heart of El Chalten.

The rooms are comfortable and warm, providing a cozy space to rest after a long day of exploring Patagonia. The continental breakfast includes eggs, giving you a good start to the day.

The bed linens are quite old, which can be uncomfortable for some guests.

My partner and I stayed at El Alamo for 3 nights during our trekking adventure in Patagonia. We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing breakfast spread, with scrambled eggs and toasted bread included at no extra cost. The staff was incredibly friendly and even allowed us to use their common area to have a late Christmas Eve dinner. The firm mattress in our room was perfect for a good night's sleep, and the hot water and excellent water pressure in the shower were much appreciated after long hikes. The hotel's location, just a 7-minute walk from the bus station, was very convenient for exploring the area.
