My family and I recently stayed at Amaroo on Mandalay for a few days. We were delighted to find that it wasn't overly expensive and the restaurant had a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. The resort had a wonderful pool and spa, and there was even a bus stop right outside. We also appreciated the lift offered by the resort's minibus. One of the highlights for us were the beautiful caged birds in the reception area and the abundance of local wild birds around the resort. the location, facilities, and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of nature. The location, set away from everything, allowed me to truly immerse myself in the beauty of the national park. I loved waking up to the breathtaking view of the mountains and being surrounded by wildlife. The rooms were clean, freshly painted, and had comfortable amenities like an easy chair and air conditioning. The staff provided excellent service and were attentive to every detail. it was a great value for money.

Spent a fantastic Christmas vacation on this island. the complementary breakfast and shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal were much appreciated. the bus stop is a short walk away, making it easy to explore the island. the large pool was wonderful to swim in and relax by.

Isolated location and limited dining options.

The bird feeding experience was unique and enjoyable, and the wildlife on the premises added to the charm. The lobby was inviting, and the overall layout and decor of the resort were pleasant. The pool provided a refreshing escape from the hot North QLD climate. The fully equipped rooms and the air conditioning were a much-needed relief during our stay. the resort offered a great time and we plan on returning during our annual trips to the island.

The gym allowed children inside while adults were trying to workout, which was frustrating as it's a small space. The management seemed uninterested when I brought up this issue.

The location of the hotel is ideal for guests with children. It is within walking distance of the ferry terminal, making it convenient for exploring the island. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with spacious fridges and utensils for preparing snacks. The surroundings are beautiful, with a playground and BBQ facilities available for guests to use.

There were some maintenance issues in a few rooms, such as empty soap dispensers and lights not working.

Great surrounds with animals, well-equipped units, fantastic pool and BBQ area, welcoming hosts, close to amenities.

Stunning grounds and abundant wildlife made our stay at Amaroo On Mandalay truly memorable. The daily bird feeding was a highlight, with colorful lorikeets and cockatoos flocking to our doorstep. The attentive staff and family-friendly activities, like the pool and playground, made our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for a nature-filled getaway.

Recently renovated, our stay at Amaroo On Mandalay was fantastic. The room was lovely, with a new split system aircon and a comfy bed. The big screen TV was a nice touch, and we loved spending time in the beautiful pool area. The bus stop right at the front door made exploring the island a breeze. The location was perfect, close enough for easy walks to nearby attractions but also secluded for a peaceful stay. The inclusion of a full-sized fridge/freezer and microwave in the kitchenette was a great value. We also loved the eco-friendly dispensers for soap, body wash, and shampoo. a wonderful experience!
