I had the most fantastic stay at the Astor Hotel! The location was absolutely perfect for me, as I could easily walk to all the major attractions in the CBD, despite having a walking disability. The manager, TILBY, was incredibly welcoming and made sure that my stay was truly memorable. I loved spending time in the communal lounge where I had the chance to meet and chat with other guests. The hotel had a unique character and charm that made it stand out from the usual bland hotels. The rooms were warm, cozy, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was basic but just what I needed to start my day. I was pleasantly surprised by the great value for money and the exceptional service at the Astor Hotel. I can't wait to return to Hobart and stay here again.

Stayed at a rare bird of a hotel, with a charming, olde-world ambience. the reception desk was welcoming, the beds comfortable, and the rooms clean and light. the shared bathrooms were large and clean, and having an extra toilet was a plus. the hotel's central location made it convenient to explore, with popular attractions within walking distance. the included breakfast buffet was good value, helping to keep costs down.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The value for money was excellent, with reasonable prices and attention to detail throughout. The location was perfect, right in the centre of Hobart, making it easy to explore the city. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, with friendly and helpful individuals ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and had original interiors in a swinging style with nice decor. Additionally, breakfast was included and consisted of delicious muesli.

All was fine and there's nothing that needs improvement.

Great location and cozy atmosphere. the staff was helpful and friendly, which was a plus. Another good thing about this place was the value for money, it was affordable for a New Year's celebration and saved me some money. the fact that there was free breakfast and games in the private lounge was also a nice touch.

The facilities were quite old and not well-maintained. the heating system in the room made a lot of noise, which made it hard to sleep.

The location of the hotel is ideal, right in the center of the city. It's just a short walk to stop 4 for Skybus to-and-from the airport, making it convenient for travelers. Additionally, it is centrally located to all public transport options, allowing for easy exploration of the city. Another advantage is the proximity to the nice restaurants around the Dock, perfect for dining out.

The shared bathroom can be inconvenient, especially if you need to use it during the night.
