Attending a wedding in Bowral, we only stayed one night at Gibraltar Hotel. The $20 taxi ride was worth it for its central location and proximity to Mittagong's main street. This cosy and boutique hotel had everything we needed: great service, spotless rooms, and excellent value for money. The room was beautifully warmed, even during a cold weekend, and the complimentary extras like mints and offered water bottles upon departure were a nice touch. The family room was spacious, warm, and cosy, and we appreciated the short walk to local dinner options. The staff, especially the friendly South African couple who were caretakers in the owners' absence, made our stay even more enjoyable with their helpfulness and engaging conversations.

The motel was conveniently located close to both Mittagong and Bowral, making it easy to explore the Southern Highlands area. We had a spacious room with a well-appointed bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing suggestions for activities and restaurants. The continental breakfast offered in the breakfast room was a convenient option. The motel also had a courtyard area where we could relax and enjoy a glass of wine.

The decor in the room was a bit outdated, reminiscent of the 1980s.
