The location of this hotel is fantastic, being right across from the shopping mall and within walking distance of everything. It's also conveniently near the railway station and just a short walk to the beach. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the bathrooms are spacious and well organized. Additionally, the hostel offers free pancakes and has a nice pool area for guests to enjoy.

The kitchen facilities have become rundown and unclean, which is disappointing for guests who want to cook their own meals.

We stayed at Yha Cairns Central for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The twin room with private bathroom was clean and spacious. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the WiFi was consistently strong throughout the property. The shared kitchen had everything we needed for cooking simple meals, and the laundry facilities were modern and convenient. The secure covered parking was a bonus. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful, some of the best we've encountered in Australia. The location was ideal, right across from Cairns Central shopping mall and within walking distance to the Esplanade and marina.

A friendly and organized receptionist named Martin made our stay at Cairns Central Yha a breeze. He went out of his way to accommodate my request for a bottom bunk due to my sore ankles. The hostel itself was clean and tidy, with spacious rooms and 24/7 air conditioning. We loved lounging by the pool and watching the outdoor TV screen. The location was great, with a massive shopping center across the road and the train station nearby. I highly recommend this hostel for an easy and relaxed stay.
