Authentic Underground Experience with Exceptional Service

The unique underground setting of the hotel provided a truly unforgettable experience, immersing guests in the rich history of Coober Pedy. the staff, though limited in availability, were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a comfortable stay. One improvement could be addressing the need for additional staff during off-peak hours to enhance guest assistance.

The underground room was a cool and unique experience, quiet with comfy beds and good airflow from the multiple fans. the garden area was a nice spot to chill out and the BBQ facilities were handy for a laid-back evening. the only downside was the noisy neighbors through the adjoining room door, but it didn't spoil the overall cozy vibe of the stay. 🌿

Stay in a luxury cave with great facilities, very neat and tidy. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and more spacious than anticipated. The sandstone walls glow with pink and yellow tones and veins of quartz. The hotel has a fun interactive vibe, with a museum/mine format, opal store, and breakfast options. The staff is personable, welcoming, and charming. They make you feel like you're staying at a friend's house.

The shower doesn't drain away well, causing a puddle to halfway reach the bathroom doorway.

The rooms were spacious and well presented, perfect for families with kids. the staff went above and beyond, giving great recommendations for local attractions. Staying underground added a unique touch to the experience.

Ventilation in the rooms shut off early, making it a bit warm.

I couldn't believe how amazing it was to stay underground at Comfort Inn. The carvings and sandstone walls were mesmerizing, creating a peaceful and homely atmosphere. The apartment had everything we needed for our family and the staff were awesome. They even showed us the Opal Room and taught the kids about "Noodling." The outdoor noodling pit kept us all entertained and we came away with raw opal shards. Don't stay anywhere else, we felt so welcome here! I highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms were FASCINATING, fully equipped, and perfect for families. the staff went above and beyond. Would definitely stay again. the garden area is better than in the photos!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, with shops and major tourist attractions just a stone's throw away. The rooms are beautifully modernized caves, adding a unique touch to the experience. The service provided by the staff is exceptional, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Additionally, the breakfast offered is delicious and the view from the hotel is stunning.

The kitchenette only has a 2 burner hot plate, which can be limiting for families who want to cook a full meal.

The breakfast was simple but the coffee was surprisingly good. the staff were helpful and the common areas were interestingly decorated.

The rooms were old and outdated, and for the high price we paid we expected better quality furnishings. There was no room service during our three-day stay, and the noise of the umbrellas in the wind kept us up at night.
