elephant & castle pleasantly surpassed my previous stay in newtown. the premium rooms overlooking the river were worth the extra cost. friendly staff, great value bar, and many dining options nearby. secure yard for motorcycles. a refreshing experience for valentine's day.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, right by the river in the center of town. The location was perfect for exploring the area and enjoying the beautiful views. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the service was excellent. Cleanliness was a priority throughout the hotel, and my room was well-appointed and very tidy.

Fantastic stay at a brilliant value for money. The room was excellent, with a nice appearance, plenty of space, and a clean and tidy environment. It also had a great view over the river. The manager was very accommodating, sorting out any issues with a smile and a joke. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice alternative to the usual options. The location was perfect for our needs, as we wanted to explore the Newtown area. a 5-star experience!

I recently stayed at The Elephant & Castle in Newtown for a few nights while tracing my family history. The staff, particularly Lewis and Andy, were fantastic and provided valuable local knowledge. The breakfast options were great, and the view of the River Severn was a perfect way to start the day. My 60th birthday party was hosted at the hotel, and the event room, food, and service were all amazing. The Gregynog suite where we stayed was lovely, and my guests were impressed by the facilities and the special touch of ordering my favorite wine. a wonderful experience.

The hotel provided me with a convenient location and friendly staff during my business trip. the room was comfortable and the bed was cozy, making my stay more enjoyable after a long day of work. the breakfast was filling and helped get my day started on the right foot.

The walls were quite thin and I could hear noise from other guests throughout the night. the meeting room was not adequately heated and made our conference uncomfortable.

The hotel has a great location, with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. The staff at this hotel are brilliant, welcoming, and friendly. They offer secure storage for bicycles, which is a nice touch. The rooms above the street have a lovely view of the River Severn.

The room at the front of the hotel overlooking the road and nightclub was a bit noisy, keeping us awake until 2.30am.

Convenient parking, central location on the river. Breakfast served with no choice, but delicious. Good price with plenty of private parking. Perfect for work and surrounded by shops, pubs, and food outlets. Easy to find on cycling route with secure bike storage. Lovely Victorian building with renovated rooms offering nice views of the river. Would definitely return.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in the heart of town next to the river. The room was large and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The breakfast was diverse and satisfying, and the off-street parking was convenient. The view from my room was breathtaking, with a lovely view over the river and the bustling main street. a great hotel experience.

One downside was the noise level in the early hours of the morning, as the hotel is located opposite a nightclub.
