Stayed at Prison Yha for 4 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Sharing a room wasn't an issue as I spent most of the day exploring. No bed bugs, just cool guys from Europe. The kitchen was amazing with multiple stovetops, an oven, and lots of fridges. Saved a ton of money on accommodation and food by cooking for myself. Great location, just a 10-minute walk to everything in Fremantle. Comfy beds, clean facilities, friendly staff, and regular hostel events. Highly recommend, especially for solo travelers.

I absolutely loved the unique and historic setting of this hostel. Sleeping in an old prison cell was an experience like no other! The decoration and general areas were well-maintained and had a charming vintage touch. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hostel. The staff was helpful in assisting me with any inquiries or assistance I needed during my stay.

The only thing I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is to have more seating options in the common areas. Sometimes it was a bit crowded, and it would have been nice to have more comfortable seating available.

Our family of five stayed in a charming two-bedroom colonial cottage, which was perfect for us. It had all the modern amenities we needed while still retaining its original character. the location was ideal, within walking distance of the markets and restaurants. the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. the kids even enjoyed playing ping pong!

Had an amazing time staying at this unique location! the staff at this hostel were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. the old prison building has been modernized while still retaining its original charm. the rooms, showers, and communal areas were all very clean and comfortable. Our stay at Yha Fremantle Prison was an interesting and unique experience. Staying in a cell added to the novelty, and the reading material on the walls was captivating. The staff were helpful and the common areas provided ample space for socializing. Additionally, the location was convenient, just a short walk from the town's attractions.

One drawback was the limited internet access, which was only available in outdoor areas. However, this allowed us to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings.

I stayed in the Prison Yha and it was by far the coolest hostel I've ever experienced! the staff were super friendly and helpful, offering two free tours - one around the hostel, which used to be a women's prison, and another around the fascinating town of Fremantle. the guide on the tour was excellent! the facilities were clean, organized, and top-notch.

No complaints whatsoever. 🙌
