The rooms were beautifully decorated and had a charming historical feel. The service was friendly and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We enjoyed the outdoor area, which was well-maintained and provided a relaxing atmosphere. The ample parking and proximity to the river were also convenient.

That the room we were initially given was quite small and lacked space for our luggage. However, the staff quickly rectified this by offering us a suite, which had a spacious bedroom and a cozy gas log fire.

I had a fantastic stay at this Inn. The location was great - just a short walk to the shops and the water. My upstairs room had a stunning view of the river. The breakfast provided was ample, with a variety of self-serve options including cereals, fruits, toast, and juice. Each morning, there was also the choice of a different hot breakfast. The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy lounge area complete with a fabulous fire. I especially enjoyed playing cards there after a night out. The gardens were wonderful, and I loved exploring the veggie patch. The overall decor had a lot of character, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel offered free wifi access, which was a nice and rare amenity to have.

The location is great, being close to the river's outlet to the sea, and just a short walk to the Main Street of the city. Guests can also enjoy a delicious and generous breakfast, with artisan flair in the food.

The wine list could have more diversity, especially in terms of sparkling options.

The old building has a quaint charm and there are various outdoor seating areas to relax. We loved the mildly bohemian feel of the hotel, with playful details like the 'privacy' pig and chocolate frogs. The facilities were excellent and the evening menu had a top class reputation. The owners were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Had a beautiful stay at a king suite in a charming inn. The separate loungeroom and huge bathroom with shower and amazing bath were delightful. The period-style furnishings and hydronic heating added to the atmosphere. The homemade biscuits and chocolate frogs were a sweet touch. Breakfast, featuring eggs from their own hens, was included and delicious. The guest's dinner, an optional extra, was not to be missed. We enjoyed a three-course meal with fresh local ingredients, including freshly caught Dory, cooked in their outdoor oven. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel special. Can't wait to book again.
