The rooms were beautifully decorated and had a charming historical feel. the service was friendly and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We enjoyed the outdoor area, which was well-maintained and provided a relaxing atmosphere. the ample parking and proximity to the river were also convenient.

That the room we were initially given was quite small and lacked space for our luggage. However, the staff quickly rectified this by offering us a suite, which had a spacious bedroom and a cozy gas log fire.

I had a fantastic stay at this Inn. The location was great - just a short walk to the shops and the water. My upstairs room had a stunning view of the river. The breakfast provided was ample, with a variety of self-serve options including cereals, fruits, toast, and juice. Each morning, there was also the choice of a different hot breakfast. The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy lounge area complete with a fabulous fire. I especially enjoyed playing cards there after a night out. The gardens were wonderful, and I loved exploring the veggie patch. The overall decor had a lot of character, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel offered free wifi access, which was a nice and rare amenity to have.

The accommodation offers interesting old buildings that have been tastefully renovated, dating back to the 1820s. The location is great, being close to the river's outlet to the sea, and just a short walk to the Main Street of the city. Guests can also enjoy a delicious and generous breakfast, with artisan flair in the food.

The wine list could have more diversity, especially in terms of sparkling options.

I had a wonderful stay at a charming inn in a historic location. The attic room was cozy and although there was no aircon, the common areas provided everything I needed, from a kitchenette to lounge areas stocked with games and books. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety. I highly recommend this hotel.

My partner and I recently stayed at Merrijig Inn for a weekend getaway. The breakfast was exceptional value for money and 5 star restaurant quality. The old building has a quaint charm and there are various outdoor seating areas to relax. We loved the mildly bohemian feel of the hotel, with playful details like the 'privacy' pig and chocolate frogs. The facilities were excellent and the evening menu had a top class reputation. The owners were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Delicious breakfast with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Charming location with a historic ambiance. Close to Main Street and eateries. Cozy and clean rooms.

Felt lucky, no complaints.
