I felt like Tarzan in the rainforest outside. At least there were no cassowaries peeping through the windows. the Great Barrier Reef tours were fantastic!

The location is ideal, just off the main street, with 2 ensuite bedrooms at opposite ends of the house for privacy. the loungeroom is spacious, and the kitchen is well-equipped. the comfy loungers outside are great for relaxing. the accommodation is quiet despite the early morning noise from trucks unloading nearby.

The living room can be dark, possibly needing more natural light sources.

The loft bedroom with a deck boasting sunset views was dreamy! As a nature-loving vegan, the quiet gardens made me feel at peace and the plunge pool was a refreshing treat.

Brilliant location close to shops, restaurants, and 4 Mile Beach. the cottage's structure is perfect for two couples, with ensuites at either end. Fully equipped kitchen and BBQ allowed for home-cooked dinners. the private pool and outdoor seating area were ideal for relaxation. Close to landmarks like Flagstaff Hill Lookout and Four Mile Beach, fostering family bonding. the Northern Brown Bandicoot sighting was a unique bonus! .

I woke up every morning at 5 am to the sound of trucks loading mail across the road, disrupting my sleep. the high winds rattling the shutters all night also affected my rest. the heated pool, comfortable bed, and well-stocked pantry at Cottage & Lodge made my stay enjoyable. I'll recommend this hotel.
