We couldn't have asked for a better stay at Return to the Royal Mail. The blue stone cottages on Mt Sturgeon property provided the perfect mix of privacy and stunning views. The new Wickens experience was a true delight with its excellent room, delicious locally sourced menu, and well-chosen wine selections. We were impressed by the professional service, which was attentive without being intrusive. The portions were reasonable and the pacing between courses was just right. We already have our next visit booked and can't wait to return.

Great location with spectacular views of the southern grampians. Comfortable and spacious cabins with a log fire and daily servicing. Package deal that includes accommodation, meals, and a couple of great red glasses.

The breakfast was disappointing, with poor quality bacon, sausage, and mushrooms. Slow service in both the fine dining restaurant and the bar.

Views, comfortable bed, nicely appointed room, accommodating for dietary requirement, 'wow' service, drove from South Australia.

I recently stayed at the Royal Mail in Dunkeld for a few days and had a fantastic time. The optional excursions provided great value, with 2 free excursions included. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and despite being across the road, they were quiet. The breakfasts were excellent, and the new restaurant, Wickens, was absolutely superb. The location is beautiful, with easy access to nature trails for bushwalking and exploring. a great place to stay with plenty of attractions nearby.

We enjoyed the key location of the hotel in the city center, close to restaurants, and tourist attractions. the room was spacious with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. the highlight for us was the breathtaking mountain views from the balcony.

The floorboards made a lot of noise when we walked, and the balcony door was hard to open and close. More disappointingly, the price we paid for the two nights was too high for the limited amenities offered.

Our one night stay at Royal Mail was truly memorable. We had the pleasure of going on the conservation tour and witnessing quolls for the first time. Dinner at Wickens was an exquisite experience, with a table that offered breathtaking views of Mt Sturgon and the kitchen. The skilled team in the kitchen prepared fresh and delicious dishes, especially the ox cheek and steak. The spacious Garden Room provided ample comfort and accessibility. The Kitchen Garden tour was enlightening, thanks to the kind and patient guides. The staff throughout the hotel provided quality service, making us feel appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel.

Recently stayed at Royal Mail in Dunkeld for a weekend getaway. The staff at the reception and restaurant were friendly and pleasant. The rooms were clean, although a little shabby. Meals in the dining room were delicious, and the staff were exceptional. The location with walking trails was great, and the cottage we stayed in had private trails to Mt Sturgeon.
