Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff who provided excellent service throughout my stay. The room in the lodge was spacious, cozy, and beautifully designed with antique furnishings. The beds were comfortable, and the tea sets added a charming touch. The large spa bath was perfect for relaxation. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable. Although I usually find room for improvement, this room exceeded all expectations, earning a perfect 5/5 rating. Despite the small bathroom and some noise from passing vehicles, the overall experience was excellent. I especially appreciated the delicious cookies and real milk provided upon arrival. The location was ideal, within walking distance to the beach and town center. I highly recommend Clifton Motel & Grittleton Lodge for a memorable and comfortable stay.

This hotel had a great location, being just a few minutes' walk away from the beach and a variety of restaurants and shops. The room was clean with a lovely colonial style and we enjoyed having access to the outside patio. The staff were friendly and provided great service.

No major issues, but the pillows could be firmer for a more comfortable night's sleep.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we absolutely loved our stay at Clifton Motel & Grittleton Lodge. The friendly staff and reasonable rates made us feel welcome right from the start. The location was perfect, close to the beach and within walking distance to the coffee strip, which was great for grabbing a quick caffeine fix. We also appreciated the complimentary paper and the comfortable king size bed, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring.

The ground floor units provide warmth and comfort, while the staff is accommodating to your needs, ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and offer a power point near the bed, an easy-to-use air conditioner, and a quiet atmosphere.

The narrow parking bays can be a bit challenging for larger vehicles.

The cleanliness was exceptional. The hotel facilities were great, with a microwave and tea/coffee amenities in the room, as well as the option to request more plates and cutlery. The parking was convenient, with a secure area right outside the room. The location was perfect, with easy access to the cafe strip and seafront.

We spent our Christmas holidays in a hotel near the beach area. the two complimentary bottles of water in the fridge and the antique furniture in our large room were a nice touch. the hotel's location was key as we were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants easily. the big windows in our room allowed plenty of light in and made the room feel spacious.

The room felt stuffy and there was visible dust in the air upon arrival. the outdated décor looks like it hasn't been updated since the 1970s, and the plastic shower curtain made the shower area feel cramped.

As foreign tourists, we loved the friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed, and the lack of outside noise. The motel's location was perfect, with a beautiful beach within walking distance for stunning photo opportunities. We also enjoyed the convenience of having restaurants, coffee shops, and museums nearby. The room amenities like the microwave, tea/coffee, and kettle were a nice touch, and we could even request extra plates and cutlery from reception.

Felt like VIPs, as the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble.

I recently stayed at this lovely hotel and had a fantastic time. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were incredibly clean. We stayed on the upper floor and enjoyed a great view of the nearby oval. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city and just a short walk to pubs, shops, the cappuccino strip, and the beach. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. Having a microwave in the room was a convenient bonus. it was a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
