The castle was old and beautiful, and the staff was very professional and helpful. the breakfast was amazing, with lots of options. the location was great, as it was close to the event I was attending.

The room was not very clean, and the bathrooms needed updating. the Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent, which made it difficult to work.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bathrooms are spotless. The service provided by the staff is exceptional, making you feel like royalty. The breakfast served each morning is outstanding, with a wide selection of delicious options. The view from the castle grounds is breathtaking, especially the small lakes filled with fish. Additionally, the hotel offers various facilities such as courtyards and terraces for relaxation.

One negative aspect is the noise from the adjacent property, which can be a problem if you prefer a quieter environment.

stayed at a beautiful medieval castle in reith im alpbachtal and schloss matzen exceeded expectations! cozy luxury, heated floors, big shower, friendly staff, and amazing views. Claudia at reception was fantastic! would definitely stay here again.
