The location is incredible, just a short walk to the bus station and the charming old town center. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to recommend alternative tours. The hostel offers a wide range of activities and amenities like free Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen, air conditioning, and a rooftop pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a great variety of options. The hostel's spacious and social common areas were perfect for meeting fellow travelers. a fantastic stay with a fantastic atmosphere.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff at Che Lagarto were incredibly attentive and always polite. They really know how to take care of their guests. The breakfast they offered was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of delicious food. The hostel also has excellent eating facilities and a beautiful garden area with hammocks where you can relax. The organization of the hostel is top-notch, and the rooms are spacious and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the dinner nights with live music, which created a fantastic atmosphere. Che Lagarto exceeded my expectations in terms of hospitality and amenities. I would highly recommend it, especially for solo travelers.

We had a fantastic time at this cozy hostel. the outdoor facilities were great, with plenty of hammocks and swimming pools in both buildings. the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we met open-minded guests from all over the world. the hostel also organized convenient transfers and boat tours, making our travel experience even better. In the evenings, they even held concerts, adding to the vibrant ambiance. the location was perfect, within walking distance of all the main attractions in town. the rooms were safe and equipped with electronic cards. the beds were comfy, and we loved the well-equipped kitchen and lounge area where we could socialize with other guests. it was a great place to stay and we didn't want to leave.

I loved scheduling a boating trip to the island retreat of Ilha Grande Bay. Paraty's cuisine is so interesting. The historical center is such a main point of reference. The amenities at Che Lagarto Paraty are just fabulous - airport shuttle, poolside bar, and terrace. And the complimentary wifi is a nice touch! Oh, and playing billiards in the games room was a blast. The proximity to Praia do Portal and the Casa da Cultura Colonial Mansion was so convenient.

The bathroom could use an upgrade. And the breakfast was a bit limited, no cheese or ham.

I stayed at Che Lagarto in Paraty with a group of friends for a few nights and we had a great time! The hostel had a lively atmosphere with always people around, though it did feel more like a youth hostel. The hotel-style key passes for the doors were a unique touch. The breakfast was decent and there was a nice atmosphere in the hostel overall. The bar, pool, and garden area were pretty cool, with live music and a great selection of caipirinhas. There were also multiple wi-fi spots throughout the hostel, which was handy.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.
