The owners were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The location was breathtaking, with beautiful views of the water. I stayed in one of the unique dome structures and it was such a cool experience. The dome was spacious and had a skylight and large window with a slight view of the water. Everything was clean and in great condition. The king size bed was super comfortable and cozy. The "kitchen" nook had all the basic utensils I needed, plus an electric kettle and a French press for my morning coffee. The washroom, although it didn't have a door, was separate from the living/bed area for privacy. The property was quiet and peaceful, and I loved sitting by the waterfront area to watch the sunset. I had a fantastic time at Blue Bayou Resort, Cape Breton and would highly recommend it!

We had an amazing time at this gem of a place! The proximity to the water and the unique dome structures were simply breathtaking. Stephan, the caretaker, was so helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. He helped us with everything we needed, from recommendations on where to eat to fixing any issues that arose. And oh, the stars at night! We were mesmerized by the stunning view of the bay and the countless stars shining above us. Truly a magical experience!

The friendly and efficient staff go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Plus, the domes are equipped with all the essentials, including hot water and a full bathroom. Guests can enjoy beautiful sunsets while feasting on delicious meals from the charcoal BBQ.

One minor downside is the additional fee for pets, which some may find a bit steep.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location on the beautiful lake was breathtaking, and having watercraft available was a great bonus. The staff were super friendly and efficient, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The domes I stayed in were an absolute blast! They were well equipped, cozy, and had everything I needed, including an electric heater, hot water, and a full bathroom. Plus, the picnic table, BBQ, and fire pit outside each dome made for some memorable evenings by the water.

During our recent stay at Blue Bayou Resort, I had a unique experience in one of their refurbished travel trailers. The outdoor kitchen, shower, and bathroom were a nice touch, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful surroundings even more. The room was clean and the hot water was instant and hot, which made our stay comfortable. It was a basic but cozy shelter that accommodated our dogs as well. Despite a few minor issues like a loose kitchen faucet and toilet paper holder, it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Though some improvements could be made, I would still recommend this resort.
