Nothing to dislike

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled in the mountains near Kootenay national park. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great directions and recommendations for nearby restaurants. The rooms are clean and cozy, with nicely appointed bathrooms and air conditioning to beat the summer heat. And the breakfast with fantastic views is a real treat, with tasty bakery treats and generous portions of food.

None of the aspects could be improved, everything was perfect!

I recently stayed at Gateway Motel for a few nights during a bike trip. The management was exceptional, going above and beyond to accommodate us with bike maintenance supplies and even a ride to the Hot Springs. The check-in process was quick and friendly, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with soft plush towels. The location is conveniently situated on Hwy 93 for easy access, but it's surprisingly quiet. The owner was welcoming and provided great dining recommendations, and the breakfast was delicious with locally made pastries and great coffee. a wonderful stay!

The motel was in a great location, just a short walk to town and close to restaurants and hot springs. the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. the breakfast offered a variety of options including savory and sweet pastries, quiche, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. It was a good start to the day.

The biggest issue was the lack of sound insulation in the building. I could hear conversations from adjacent rooms and even footsteps and doors closing from the whole building.
