I recently stayed at the Gower Guest House for a few nights while in town for work. The location was perfect, within walking distance to downtown attractions and restaurants. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The availability of coffee and tea throughout my stay was a nice touch. Another highlight was the convenient parking options with two spots behind the building. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with basic toiletries and thick towels.

The room had all the amenities I needed, including a full bathroom with a tub, a comfortable bed, and a fridge, kettle, and microwave for convenience. The space was cozy and comfortable, and the entire house had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The location was perfect for exploring downtown, and having ample parking in the back was a great bonus. The live-in caretaker added an extra level of security and made me feel at ease as a solo traveler.

I absolutely loved the location of this hotel, as it was very close to the downtown area and within walking distance of everything downtown, including Signal Hill. The fact that it was centrally located made exploring the city so convenient.

My stay at the Gower House was fantastic! I was in St. John's for a weekend getaway and the location was perfect. It was just a few blocks away from all the restaurants, clubs, and attractions on George St. The off-street parking was a great convenience during my stay. The room was spotless and had a small refrigerator, which was handy. The shower, although in an unconventional location, was excellent. The grab-and-go breakfast option was convenient, although having access to a sink near the kitchen would have been nice for refilling ice cube trays and the coffee pot.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

I had a fantastic stay at this guest house. The location was superb, very close to downtown and within walking distance to Water Street, where all the restaurants and pubs are located. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. There was ample free parking behind the house, which was a big help as street parking can be difficult in this city. The staff, especially Todd, was friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions I had. The continental breakfast provided was simple but satisfying, with a good selection of cereals, toast, and muffins.

Great location in a trendy area, within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. the rooms were nicely decorated with comfortable beds. the common dining room/kitchen and living rooms were pleasant and well stocked, including fresh eggs each morning.

The hostel lacked a common room and laundry facilities as advertised on the website. the cleanliness was lacking, and the staff seemed more focused on their own devices than on cleaning.

The hotel was in a great location, close to downtown and with convenient parking. the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I also appreciated the fact that there was a help-yourself breakfast available.

The host was not very welcoming or friendly upon arrival, which was a bit off-putting. Additionally, during breakfast, the host made us feel rushed and was not very polite.

The location of this hotel is superb, right in the center of downtown and very close to the business center. It is conveniently situated near The Rooms, a great exhibition space. The manager, Tod, was extremely helpful to all guests. The hotel offers practical and clean accommodation with good speed free WiFi. Additionally, the parking behind the building, although limited, was a great advantage.

This hotel is well worth the money, with great prices and a fantastic location. Situated in the center of the jelly bean housing area, it's just a short walk to downtown and the business center. The staff provide excellent service, and the basic amenities are all in place, including air conditioning for those warm summer days. The rooms offer a view of the harbor, providing a beautiful backdrop to your stay. Plus, the breakfast served here is a great start to the day.

The only small issue was the slanted ceilings in the rooms, which made it a bit difficult to maneuver around the space.
