I recently stayed at The Lord Nelson hotel for a conference in Halifax. The staff were fantastic, moving me to a quiet and spacious corner suite at no extra charge after I expressed my dissatisfaction with my initial room. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. The hotel's location was excellent, with many attractions within walking distance. The lobby had a charming, classic decor and the hotel was connected to a nearby mall for added convenience. The wifi was reliable and allowed me to work comfortably in my room. a delightful stay!

Convenient airport shuttle service, helpful staff accommodating to flight changes. Comfortable, clean rooms with useful amenities such as Nespresso coffee, fridge and TV casting options. Hotel facilities, including breakfast and shops accessible via underground walkway, are great for cold weather. Lovely patio for drinks and comfy lobby for relaxing. Good location near historic gardens and citadel.

We recently stayed at this elegant and luxurious hotel and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The hotel staff welcomed us with warm smiles and the service throughout our stay was impeccable. The team was really attentive and remembered that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. They made the day feel special. the room had amazing views and was close to the best restaurants in town. they offered a great discounted rate for healthcare workers, which was a big bonus!

The coffee creams in the mini-fridge were well past their expiry date, which was a bit gross. I called the hotel to ask about airport shuttle service and they told me to check the website instead of providing the information themselves.

I was very pleased with my stay at this venue. It's located right across from a beautiful park, which provided a lovely view. The staff here, from the doorman who has worked there for over 30 years to the employee who Lin the elevator who listened to our story of all the car problems we had on our trip, was exceptional and made me feel very welcome. The room amenities were also great, including the free Wi-Fi, mini-bar, and air conditioning. The bar/lounge area and restaurant were also wonderful places to relax and enjoy good food and company.

Great location: right in front of the beautiful public garden. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options. Had a minor issue with the heating in my room but the staff promptly fixed it. Overall I recommend this hotel.

We loved the location of the hotel, just down the hill from the downtown Halifax area. It was easy for us to get around and explore the sights, and we appreciated being away from the tourist crowds near the waterfront while still being within walking distance to the boardwalk. The breakfast buffet was excellent and provided a great start to our day. The staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist us during our stay.

Everything is what we needed and wanted.

Spent Christmas at a hotel in a great location near the public garden and within walking distance of all the sights. Loved the complimentary hot cocoa and apple cider offered in the lobby during the festive season. the room decor was fantastic and felt cozy with the holiday decorations.

The wifi was a bit slow for streaming and video meetings. there was no place to buy food or drinks within the hotel.

The room had amazing views and the staff made our anniversary celebration feel extra special. Plus, the hotel is conveniently located near all the best restaurants in the downtown area. the discounted rate for healthcare workers was a great bonus!

We found the parking fees to be too expensive and the staff didn't make us feel very welcomed. the breakfast buffet at the ARM restaurant was a letdown with unhelpful staff and a lack of cleanliness.

my recent stay at a classic landmark hotel in halifax was wonderful. the staff was warm, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. the location was perfect, within walking distance to everywhere. i loved the free fresh apples and the reasonable prices for in-room snacks. it's always my first choice!

Heating system in my room was cold.

Situated right next to the beautiful Public Gardens, we enjoyed leisurely walks and picnics in this serene green oasis. The convenience of being in the heart of Halifax allowed us to easily explore the city's vibrant shops and dining options. To top it off, our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable king bed and luxurious linens. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, providing us with robes and a selection of high-quality toiletries. The hotel also offered a delicious breakfast to start our day off on a positive note.

That our view overlooked some ongoing construction, but that was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall pleasant experience we had at this hotel.

Convenient location near parks and waterfront. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. Good breakfast with fresh fruit and omelettes. Charming ambiance throughout the property.
