Although there was no air conditioning, we managed with an open window and the provided fan. The fully equipped kitchen was a great convenience, and the availability of a washer/dryer was a bonus. The history of the building was evident, and we appreciated the blend of preservation and modern fixtures. Despite a few minor inconveniences like the lack of parking and noise from other guests, our overall experience was positive. We would definitely recommend Mckay Manor for a stay in St John's.

Great location, just steps away from restaurants and shops. the property was clean and had comfortable rooms. the kitchen was well-equipped and very clean, making it easy to prepare meals. the view from some rooms was nice and the bed was comfortable. the shower had hot water and good water pressure.

The outside of the property was dirty and the stairs leading to it were littered with garbage. the bathroom being located down the hall was inconvenient and lacked privacy.

The room itself was cozy, quiet, and clean, providing a comfortable refuge at the end of the day. Despite there being other suites, I never heard any noise from other guests. Additionally, the location was excellent, with many attractions, restaurants, and pubs within walking distance.

The downtown area where the hotel is located had a noticeable presence of mentally unstable individuals and drug addicts. As a lone woman, I felt unsafe walking around at night.

I had a wonderful stay at McKay Manor for a work trip. The room was spacious and had great amenities like wine glasses, a Keurig, and high-quality linens and towels. The decor was tasteful and the historic charm of the building was preserved beautifully. Despite being centrally located, the room was surprisingly quiet. The full shared kitchen was a nice bonus. The hosts have done an excellent job of blending modern comfort with historic charm.

The owners were friendly and even upgraded me to a nicer room at no extra charge. I would definitely stay here again!
