The central location of the motel in the commercial district of Riv-du-Loup was a major advantage, making it convenient for our work-related activities. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the amazing shower. It provided plenty of room, kept all the water in with its efficient door, and stayed warm throughout. The friendly host accommodated our language preference, switching from French to English seamlessly. The comfortable bed and the availability of watching the hockey game on TV added to our enjoyment. Lastly, the staff recommended a restaurant where we had a fabulous fondue meal, making it one of the best evenings of our trip.

During my Christmas stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the hidden gems at this roadside motel. the rooms were spotlessly clean and had been recently renovated with top-notch amenities. the modern room and shower accoutrements made me feel like I was staying at a fancy five-star hotel. Plus, the view of the St Lawrence River was breathtaking, especially during the enchanting sunset. Another great advantage was the multilingual staff, who not only spoke fluent English but also Spanish and French.

Despite being a non-smoking room, there was a lingering smell of stale smoke. the thin walls made it quite easy to hear my neighbors, which could be a bit annoying at times.

The room at Motel Au Vieux Piloteux was absolutely beautiful. The fixtures and furniture all seemed brand new, and the bathroom was great. The shower was amazing and the pillows were so comfortable. I can't recommend this place enough.

One small drawback was that I had some trouble with the TV and video equipment, but I eventually just put in a DVD for the kids. Additionally, there was no blanket on the bed, which was a bit strange, especially with the temperature being so low.
