I had an amazing stay at The Champlain, An Ascend Hotel. The location was perfect, right beside the waterfront and within walking distance to great restaurants. The hotel has been beautifully renovated with high-end fittings and a modern yet classic interior. My room was comfortable and had a cozy feel. The staff at the front counter were excellent and very friendly, providing exceptional service. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Orillia.

Great location, just a block away from the waterfront. Rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was super comfortable. the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

Our room was on the main floor, which resulted in a less than amazing experience. the noise from the ice machine and breakfast being served right down the hallway was extremely loud and disruptive, especially during the early morning hours.

I recently stayed at the Champlain Waterfront Hotel for a weekend visit to see my son at Soldiers Memorial. The location was perfect, and the staff, especially Sheena, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bedding was comfy and clean. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet at the on-site restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Despite being located in a "run-down" part of the city, it is conveniently situated on the waterfront, providing a beautiful view. The rooms, although some may be in the basement without windows, are well-equipped with basic amenities and even provide wheelchair accessibility. Additionally, the hotel provides a satisfying breakfast, ensuring a convenient start to the day.

We especially enjoyed dining at ZATS on Mississauga Street, which is just a short walk away. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water in the bathroom. The internet connection can be slow and unreliable at times.

The hotel had 2 free bottles of water and a coffee maker that was a godsend after a rough night. the location was great, and we were able to check out a fun family event nearby, and it was in good distance from many nice and trendy parts of the town. One staff member was particularly nice to us.

The experience wasn't perfect. We noticed the hallway was quite grubby with spider webs and spiders crawling here and there.
