We got great value for our money at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with nice armchairs and basic amenities. The location was very convenient, with easy access to keys and friendly staff available 24/7. Plus, the included breakfast was a hit, especially the waffles!

My daughter and I stayed here while exploring Halifax. The university has a great breakfast with lots of healthy choices. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and dorm-ish, which was our expectation. The apartments would be great for families with young children. The price is tremendous for the value in Halifax proper, and the location is about a 15-minute walk from major shopping and restaurant areas. Free parking was a bonus. The front desk staff was amazing, going over and above to make us feel comfortable. The check-in and check-out process was easy and the location made it convenient to explore the city. If you want to explore Halifax and are looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep, this is perfect. We will stay here again when in Halifax.

Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Our stay at SMU was pleasant. The location was great, close to downtown Halifax, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast provided at the campus cafeteria was varied and satisfying. We appreciated the convenience of having a 3-bedroom unit, perfect for our older youth/young adult children. Additionally, the discounted rate given to us after a room mix-up showed that the staff was willing to rectify any inconvenience.
