I recently stayed at the Salmon River Country Inn for a weekend getaway. The hosts were incredibly generous and accommodating, allowing me to change my check-in date multiple times due to delays. During a power outage, they quickly turned on a portable generator to ensure we had hot water and a functioning kitchen. The spacious room and clean bathroom were impressive, as was the cozy coffee/tea kiosk in the hallway. The patio provided a stunning view of the calm coast, perfect for admiring the beautiful sunsets. The friendly staff and delicious breakfast added to the overall enjoyable experience.

We had an unplanned night stopover at Salmon River Country Inn and it turned out to be one of our most enjoyable nights. The owner Margit, Ernest, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The continental breakfast was a delightful surprise, with fresh cheese, bread, and homemade jams that reminded us of Germany. The hotel's peaceful location and the breathtaking view of the Salmon River added to the relaxing atmosphere. We also loved the veranda where we could unwind and soak in the beauty of nature. a fantastic experience!

The hotel had a picturesque location right next to the river on the east shore of Nova Scotia. The breakfast was fantastic with delicious homemade options. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even providing gluten-free options upon request.

I had a wonderful stay at the Inn. the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, even upgrading me to their cottage at no cost. the owner, Margitt, was incredibly helpful and ensured that I had everything I needed. the location is great, right off the highway, and the rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. I had a room facing the river with large, openable windows and a comfortable bed. the restaurant was excellent, with a variety of seafood and German specialties. the breakfast, included in the stay, was European-style with plenty of choices. a fantastic experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed the evening at the inn, with live music playing and locals mingling over drinks and food. It created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The location by the river was also a highlight, providing a beautiful backdrop for our stay. Despite some minor inconveniences, overall I would still recommend this hotel for a pleasant and relaxing getaway.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at Salmon River Country Inn! From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed by the gracious host. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making me feel right at home. And let me tell you, the views from the inn were simply breathtaking! I couldn't get enough of the beautiful surroundings. The best part was the food - the owner, who is also an excellent cook, treated us to delicious meals that satisfied our taste buds. I would highly recommend this inn for its welcoming atmosphere, stunning location, and amazing food.

Convenient location off highway 4. Accommodated us for dinner on Mother's Day despite being fully booked. Quiet night's sleep, followed by a hearty breakfast. Lovely German-inspired continental spread with fresh cheese, bread, and homemade jams. Beautiful surroundings and friendly, gracious staff make you feel at home.

I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel. the attention to detail was superb - from the comfortable rooms with twin beds to the delicious breakfast included every morning. Secondly, the location on a picturesque bay on the main highway through the Eastern Shore area of NS was absolutely stunning. Lastly, the staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. I was truly impressed with the value for money and overall experience.

We spent our New Year's Eve in a cozy little inn overlooking a beautiful river. the breakfast was free, and the coffee was good enough. We loved the fireplace in our room, which kept us warm and cozy throughout the night. the view from our window was incredible, and we were able to see the gorgeous sunrise from our bed.

The room we got was cramped, and the heating system didn't work properly. We had to bundle up under the blankets since it was freezing in the room.

The friendly and welcoming staff provide outstanding service, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests. In the morning, the delicious continental breakfast is a great way to start the day. With its proximity to the beach at Clam Harbour, outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy nature.

The location of this inn was absolutely stunning, with a gorgeous view of the sunset from the deck. It was also conveniently situated near a busy highway, making it easy to access. the staff at the restaurant were friendly and the food was delicious.

The room we stayed in was quite small and the bed was not very comfortable. We also encountered some issues with cleanliness, as the windows were dirty and couldn't be seen through.
