I recently stayed at the Bayview Motel in Fort Frances for a weekend getaway. The shower had great pressure, the beds were comfy, and the TV had a great cable package. They accommodated my early check-in and all necessities were available. The owner also runs a restaurant called Neighbors, which is a great spot to check out. Loved walking my dog around the beautiful path by Rainy Lake and the room had a great view. Would recommend staying here!

Loved walking my dog in the early morning across the road along Rainy Lake's path. Comfy bed, clean room, and everything I needed. Bistro table set was handy. Accessibility for physical handicaps was good.

We were pleasantly surprised by our upgraded room at The Bayview Motel. The view of the lake was breathtaking and the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The air conditioning was a relief on a hot day. We also appreciated the nearby dining options and the delicious food. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a table and chairs for us to enjoy meals in. It was a restful stay overall.

It listed the wrong number of adults and beds, causing some confusion at the hotel. We also had some noise disturbances from neighboring guests, as there was no insulation between rooms.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The upgraded room we received was spacious and had a stunning view of the lake. The linens were of good quality and the lighting was thoughtfully designed. The shower had good water pressure. The hotel is located right on the shores of the Rainy River, providing amazing views of the waterfront. The hotel is also conveniently located close to a wonderful diner/restaurant.

No extra security measures on the door, which made me feel unsafe. the lobby/office was always locked, so there was no way to seek assistance or information.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel right on the lake. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The view of the water was absolutely breathtaking. Although we didn't interact with any staff members, we felt safe and well taken care of. We also appreciated the convenient location on the shores of the Rainy River, making it easy to explore this charming town.

Noisy neighbors

We loved the convenient location near the river and the easy access to a nearby restaurant. The unique self-check-in process via email made things hassle-free. Plus, being able to park right in front of our room was a bonus for easy loading and unloading.

wifi connection was unreliable

A pleasant surprise! the room was immaculate and had nice touches like a Keurig with Tims coffee. the view of the water was lovely and the staff at the restaurant next door were friendly. We also appreciated the wifi connection and excellent TV.

We didn't like the fact that there was no staff in the office when we arrived and the communication was difficult. the lack of soundproofing in the older building made it difficult for me, as someone with hearing loss, to sleep.
