I got great value for my money at this charming hotel, with its historical ambiance and unique furniture in the room. The location was ideal, just a couple of blocks from the harbor and within walking distance of many historic sites. The staff at Halliburton were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help.

The breakfast option could be improved with more variety or additional choices.

Stayed at The Halliburton for 3 nights in August. Loved the historical charm of the building, furnished with interesting decor. The shower was great and the bathroom well-appointed. The continental breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient location, just a 5-minute walk to the boardwalk.

The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with a delicious spread and excellent coffee. The hotel's location near the VIA rail station and within walking distance of the river and boardwalk made it convenient for exploring the area. The cozy library with a fireplace and free coffee/tea was a lovely touch, and the in-house restaurant, Stories, lived up to its reputation as the number one spot in Halifax.

The location of this hostel is unbeatable - right down the street from the waterfront and close to the centre of town. The room, though small, had good storage space and a comfortable double bed. The bathroom fixtures were upgraded and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast included hard boiled eggs and nice ham. the hostel had a huge back deck with a little garden area, perfect for enjoying good weather.

The hostel lacked accessibility, with stairs everywhere and no elevator.

The free hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch, and the location was pretty central. We could walk to most of the shops and restaurants we wanted to check out. the staff were friendly and accommodating during check-in.

Our room was on the ground floor, right next to the restaurant, which made it extremely noisy. We could hear everything - the chatters, laughter, and even the kitchen sounds.
